Starting from the design of the container, customized if requests, passing through the management of raw materials, the mixing of the bulk, up to the realization of the secondary packaging (such as cards, displays, cases or other), providing a finished product, ready to be marketed

The main FD Packaging production processes are:
MIXING
Starting from the formula defined from the final customer, we can internally mix liquid and powder components to reach the request filling bulk.
THERMOFORMING
Starting from two reels of plastic film (front and back), the container is formed by blowing air inside the pre-heating molds.
Our thermoforming process can be horizontal, through a production machine with a modern design, developed and patented by us, or can be vertical.

FILLING
The product to be dosed is directly transferred, through specific pumps, from the drums, with which it is delivered, to the hoppers connected to the dosing station.
This is the phase in which the machine injects the liquid, required by the customer, within the newly formed plastic container
SEALING
in this phase, the plastic container is welded, after filling.

FINAL CUTTING
the container is cut through a dedicated cutting device. The cut can be straight (final strip) or with a define shape (single shaped monodose).
Our machine are equipped with ink-jet printers and labeling machines. If requested by the customer, we can print alphanumeric codes on each container as well as to apply adhesive labels both on the front and on the back of the thermoformed container.
PACKAGING
The containers, single or in strips, are moved at the end of the line by a conveyor belt. Here an operator picks up the containers and packs them using cardboard boxes Each box is identified by specific labels that contain all the information require by current regulations.
The boxes are sealed with adhesive tape and then placed on pallets.

Outsource
FD Packaging can outsource the following processes:
- Printing of the Plastic film: customer can requests a plastic material printed with their own illustrations. FDP outsource the printing process to qualified suppliers;
- Secondary packaging (cards, cases, outercase, etc.): FDP outsource the operations to a qualified external supplier, following the process and checking the operation according to quality procedures. These processes are managed as part of procurement activities.
